We’ve been travelling with both our kids from an early age but recently I decided to do something a little crazy and travel all the way to the UK on my own with a 6 month old and a 2 year old!!
Naturally, I was terrified but told myself that I am a strong capable woman, whilst constantly googleing “how to make my baby sleep on a plane” – there was some questionable advice out there!
Anyway, to my luck I stumbled across the CoziGo bassinet cover and I instantly knew I needed one!

If you’ve ever travelled long haul with a young infant you probably already know that you can usually get a bulk head seat along with a bassinet, that clips onto the front wall, for baby to sleep in.
You might be thinking “Great! Problem solved!”
Hold on a second – the extra legroom and bassinet is great, however, those seats are usually near the toilets or the galley and there are lights on for the whole flight, not to mention people moving around a lot.
All this can lead to bubs being very disturbed and not getting much sleep!
Enter – CoziGo!! One Australian mums ingenious solution to this exact problem.
CoziGoFirst Thoughts
When the CoziGo first arrived I was instantly impressed by how small and light the package was before I had even looked inside. I’d had some worries about it taking up extra room in my hand luggage but I really shouldn’t have been worried. It was much smaller than I expected!
When I opened the small round bag, the quality of the material was great and took a quick look at the instructions which were nice and clear too. Then the whole thing got packed away until we were ready to make our epic adventure to the other side of the world.
CoziGo Features
The CoziGo is made from a breathable material that claims to block 97% of light whilst still allowing cross flow ventilation thanks to the dome shape.
The CoziGo is quick and easy to set up and simply “pops” out like one of those cheap beach tents.
The universal sliding clips design is multifunctional and can be attached to most airplane bassinets, strollers, prams and bassinets.
When it’s time to pack away simply twist and fold it bacxk into the bag.
Front Opening – The front zip opening is very large, my 6 month old was big for her age and I still managed to get her out when the seatbelt sign came on without any trouble and without waking her.
Silent Magnetic Close Windows – These are a nice touch so you can check on bubs without having to open the front zip and make noise or let in too much light.
Bag With Stroller Clip – Given the CoziGo also fits over strollers and prams having a way to attach it when not in use is great. I’m all for anything that saves me valuable space in the nappy bag!
CoziGo In Use
Here’s a quick look at what it actually looks like when using the CoziGo both on a plane and on the pram.
First, in the air! The CoziGo was quick and easy to pop out and I was able to fit it over the bassinet in about 30 seconds. I couldn’t believe how quick and easy it was to set up!
My only slight issue was that on one of my flights the tv screen was blocked by the CoziGo. BUT in reality it was still a blessing as, if I’d been watching that TV screen, I’m sure the light from it would have woken the baby.
Now, I will own up here – my little one is an excellent sleeper most of the time anyway. On our flight from Singapore to the UK with the CoziGo she slept for 10 hours straight! Even with her being a good sleeper, that is a lot longer than normal.
Also compare that to our Cairns to Singapore leg when I couldn’t use the CoziGo, because it would have blocked the stranger sitting next to us, when she wouldn’t even nap for 10 minutes in the bassinet!
So, how about using it as a pram cover?!
The wide openings mean it’s easy to just keep the CoziGo over the pram and then zip it up once it’s nap time.
However it’s equally as easy to just pop it out whenever you need it as it really doesn’t take that long.
I was skeptical about whether it would fit over the top seat on our bulky double pram but I had no problems and it didn’t stick out so far that I couldn’t see, like I had feared.
So, Is It Really Worth It?
We do long haul travel a lot and I have to say I will definitely be taking the CoziGo on every flight from now on!
As well as that, it’s become a permanent fixture in our nappy bag. It’s so much safer than placing a muslim wrap over the pram and, thanks to it’s 100% air permeable material, it doesn’t raise the temperature inside. It is also rated as UVP 50+, so you can feel assured bubs is safe and sound.
